  1. TEXTSystem hints.
  2.     All  of  you may be an intensive
  3. user of the Amiga, and especially if
  4. you are using a lot of text programs
  5. (involving mainly keyboard commands,
  6. i.e.         assemblers,        word
  7. processors...)  you'll  be  glad  to
  8. learn  some  shortcuts  which aren't
  9. well known.  First, there's a way to
  10. move  the  Workbench  screen front &
  11. back with left Amiga-N for moving it
  12. to front, and left Amiga-M for back,
  13. the  keys  remain  the same whatever
  14. keymap  is  set (So, french user get
  15. the  WB  to  back  shortcut with the
  16. left  Amiga-?   combination).   When
  17. faced  with  a requester, instead of
  18. stupidly  clicking  retry or cancel,
  19. try  respectively  left  Amiga-V and
  20. left  Amiga-N.   These one are quite
  21. known   (and  may  be  read  in  the
  22. tutorial book you received with your
  23. Amiga).   I  was told about the last
  24. one   by   Antiriad.    When   using
  25. intuition  text  gadgets  (generally
  26. one  line  of  text  you enter for a
  27. parameter, a file-name, found almost
  28. everywhere)  you  can clear the text
  29. with  right Amiga-X and sometimes if
  30. the  gadget allows it, right Amiga-A
  31. to   restore   it.   Now,  a  little
  32. exercise :  grab the CLI window, and
  33. while  keeping the left mouse button
  34. down,  press  Left A-M and then Left
  35. A-N.    Now   move   the   CLI,  and
  36. normally,  it can now cross over the
  37. screen limits !!  (don't go too far,
  38. however,   you   could   crash   the
  39. system).   It  seems I found another
  40. bug...                          TMS.
  41.
